Sweet Potatoes ain't so sweet
Cali had homemade sweet potatoes for the first time on Monday.
And this is what she thought about it:
What is this? Something new... hmmmm...
Okay....
maybe not so good...
But then again not THAT bad.....
wait a minute... nope don't like it!
No mom I don't like sweet potatoes!
She's had them three days in a row and she still doesn't like them. But I read that it takes a baby 15 tries before they actually like it. So I guess we still have 12 more times before she really enjoys her sweet potatoes.

Yes I'm freaking excited about it! As you all know she's been rolling from back to tummy for a week now and she just did it the other way! I love this girl! She's the coolest!

1st weekend alone!
Was no fun!
I ordered a bunch of pictures from a pro-lab and they got here on Friday but we weren't home to sign for them, which was sad. We had planned to go pick them up Saturday morning but Cali decided she was really tired and took a 2 hour nap. By the time we got to the post office they were closed!! Now we have to wait until Monday to get them. I was so excited because I was going to finish/redo our photo wall this weekend. oh well. So instead I cleaned/organized the laundry room.
Cali is still a rolling machine! and she is starting to get up on her knees. Daddy told her not to start crawling until he gets back, lets hope she listens to him.
I will get around to posting new pictures next week, I promise.
I'm taking a picture a day and making a book for daddy so he feels like he didn't miss a day :)

Oh Rosie...
Yesterday was a very hard day for us, but we managed to get through it.
After work we went over to Jen's for dinner, we hung out for a little while and headed home at around 6:45. It was so hard when we got home. I couldn't stop think about how it was just the two of us and I was so sad. Cali and I cried for a little bit and then she went to bed. Every time I rock her to sleep and put her in her crib she wakes up. I decided that I can't keep on rocking her to bed every time she wakes up or hold her all night long, so I let her cry it out. She cried for 20 minutes and was out for the rest of the night.
Before going to bed I watched my idol, Martha Stewart, I was a little hesitant to watch it because in the info it said that Rosie O'Donnell was the guest star, I'm not a fan of that women. But I watched it anyways and I will say that I no longer dislike Rosie as much. She was really funny and talked the entire time. They didn't even get to any of the crafts because she made jokes the entire time. She was there to promote her new book, Crafty.U, if I still didn't dislike her some I would probably buy the book.
After five months Cali finally likes to roll... she's been able to roll for a while but wouldn't do it. But today she's been a rolling freak! And her motor skills are improving as is her hand-eye coordination, she's growing up too fast.

She's 5 months
Today Cali is officially 5 months!
These pictures were suppose to be taken at the beach but the stupid people that Dave works for didn't give him the day off! He should have had the day but nope! They made him work.

Just us two :(
Dave's been gone all weekend so it's been Cali and I... it sad because it's going to be just the two of us for a little while, Dad leaves this week.
We've spend most of the weekend cleaning and doing laundry. We did manage to take a break and go for a short walk. It was a little chili outside so we weren't gone for long. We were going to go for a walk in IKEA but after we went to get gas and paid $3.54 a gallon we decided it would be best if we just went for a walk around the neighborhood.
Doesn't she look great in sunglasses?
