Quick question

What do you get when you take a Mexican and a white boy?

Any guesses?

Give up???

A pineapple loving, carrot eating Asian little girl.
She would not take her hand off the pineapple. I had to get her away from it because it poked her finger and made her bleed :(
The carrot was for teething purposes

Finally!

She learned to roll over! and it was no accident! Last night we went to visit daddy at work, he was on watch for 24 hours, she was laying on the bed and wanted his cell phone, I held it far enough that she had to reach for it and rolled over. She rolled over 3 times last night and once this morning! It took a little bribing but she did it!

4 month docs appointment

We went to Cali's 4 month appointment yesterday. Our day didn't start out so well. Cali and I had a bad night she woke up twice and didn't seem like she was getting a good night sleep the rest of the night. We finally woke up at 7 and hung out for a little while until she went back to sleep at around 8:30 am. I woke up at 9 and decided that I should probably get up and get ready, well I was so tired that I fell back asleep. When I woke up again I look at the clock and realize that it's 10:45! Our appointment was at 11:20. I wake up Dave and tell him the time, he looks at me and tells me to reschedule. He's nuts! Of course what else should I expect from the man that reschedules appointments at least twice. I had made this appointment over 3 weeks ago and I had already missed work, I wasn't going to reschedule. So I jump out of bed and brush my teeth and try to brush my greasy hair, I didn't look so good. I grab some clothes for Cali and make Dave change her while I run around trying to get ready. He finally gets out of bed and decides he's going. We leave the house at 10:58 and make it to the docs at 11:13!
Our little girl isn't so little.
She weighs 15lbs 13 oz, is 24.75 inches and has a head that measure 16 inches and some change.
Weight in 75-90 percentile, length in 50-75 percentile and head in 75 percentile.
At her two month she was in the 95 percentile for both weight and length and only in the 25 percentile for head.
Dr. Smith said we could start giving her cereal. To do that for a month and then introduce fruits and veggies.

Weeee're back!

From a wonderful vacation! We went to visit the In-laws and it was a wonderful week.

Cali went on her first airplane ride. This is her at the airport, I wasn't able to get any pictures on the airplane because my hand were full.

She did wonderful on both flights (there and back), she didn't cry once. On the way there, to Sacramento, we sat next to a weird man who smelled like smoke (Dave and I thought he was a convict). Cali pooped of course so I had to change her, for those of you that didn't know there is actually a changing table in the front "lavatory" or bathroom. But besides that the flight was pretty uneventful.

The first place we went to was Great Grandma Jewel and Great Grandpa Roy's. GG Jewel didn't know we were coming in so early so we surprised her.

The next few days we just hung around the house. This is what Grandpa Roy does to his grand baby

On Wednesday we drove to South Lake Tahoe. It was so beautiful. We were on the third story and we had the best view of the entire place. When you looked out one window you could see the desert and out the other window the mountains.

Here are more beautiful pictures taken by Christina

On Thursday we had a fun filled day of skiing, well for the most part. There was a storm rolling in so it was really windy and most of the lifts were closed, only 2 lifts were open on the side of the mountain we were on, a blue and a green (we didn't know about the green at first, the easiest run). So Dave and I go up the mountain, it was really cold and windy but a nice 10 minute ride up the mountain. Going down the mountain is another story. Going down took about an hour, but in my defense I have only been skiing once before and it was over two years ago. At first I wasn't scared but 2 minutes into it things changed, it wasn't pretty. I'm not going to go into detail but I will say that I spent most of the time on my butt on the side of the mountain and at one point I even took my skies off and walked down the mountain. But once we got the the green run things changed, I was finally able to "ski" down the the mountain. I would like to take this time to thank my wonderful husband for being so patient, without him I would have never been able to get down the mountain. In the end I had a blast and was sad that we only had one day of skiing.

One last note. Cali is officially 4 months old!

She is such a lazy baby!

So she rolled that once and hasn't done it again! We have such a lazy baby, but we still love her :) I keep trying to get her to roll and she just won't do it! oh well... just means we can keep letting her sleep on the couch :)

Tonight we took a bath in the big bath tub for the first time. We didn't get any pictures because daddy was on his way home from work and he took forever! We waited as long as we could be she was just too tired that and had to get out before he got home.

Saturday we are going to go visit Grandpa Roy, Grandma Christina, Great Grandma Jewel, Great Grandpa Roy and Aunt Ashely. We are all so excited. This is going to be Cali's first airplane ride outside the womb. She also gets to go to the snow for the first time, we are going to go skiing in Tahoe. What a lucky baby. She also gets to meet her cousins Madison and Cameron, yes she has two cousins named Madison. Madi is so excited to meet Cali.

Speaking of Madi, my Madi (Erika's Madi) calls me at least once a week to talk to Cali. Madi gets so excited when Cali "talks". Cali and I will be going to Oklahoma for two weeks in April because Daddy is going to be in Bahrain for 45 days. It's going to be the longest 45 days of our lives. My mom told me that they are all so excited to see us and that they have come up with sleeping arrangements, I will be sleeping in the living room and Cali will be rotated. She will sleep with Erika one night, Albert the next and Grandma and Grandpa the following night, I bet that's going to last one rotation, if that. They seem to forget that she still wakes up in the middle of the night to eat :)

On to more exciting things, like pictures

We Missed It!

Cali rolled over and we missed it! The worst part... Dave and I were right there! We were at opposite ends of the living room talking to each other and she was in the middle of the living room on her play mat and she rolled over! We were bummed that we missed it :(

I also made a camera bag, because I'm cheap and didn't want to spend $60 bucks on one. Well it looks pretty good, but it looks more like a diaper bag then a camera bag, so I decided to use it as a diaper bag and use my Fossil bag as a camera bag.
